Event
The KLEIN ISD Education Foundation 5K & Fun Run includes a 5K Run/Walk and a Kids Fun Run. The 5K is a USATF certified and sanctioned event (Station #20-25-003, Certification #TX20004JH). The event is underwritten by Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital.
Location and purpose
The event takes place at Klein Memorial Stadium at Klein High School, 16715 Stuebner Airline Rd, Spring, TX 77379. Proceeds support the Klein Education Foundation, which awards teacher classroom grants for academic and enrichment projects across Klein Independent School District. Grants are awarded both fall and spring semesters.
Registration and fees
Registration is offered in early, regular, and late tiers with differing fees for adults and students. Examples from the published fee schedule:
- Early: 5K Adults $30, Students $25; Kids Fun Run $15.
- Regular: 5K Adults $35, Students $30; Kids Fun Run $20.
- Late: 5K Adults $40, Students $35; Kids Fun Run $20.
