Kiwanis Midnight Run LIVE and Virtual 2026
The event offers both live and virtual options for short distance running and walking on the Dunedin Causeway on July 3 and 4, 2026. Live races start and finish in front of Frenchy's Outpost Bar and Grill on the Causeway. Packet pick up is available prior to the runs.
Available distances:
- 1 Mile - live and virtual
- 5K - live and virtual
- 10K - live and virtual
- 1 Mile Woof Walk - walk with dogs
Live race entries include a commemorative tee shirt and a finish medal. Virtual registrations include a commemorative shirt; virtual runs are scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 2026 for the entire day but may be completed earlier. Virtual participants can manually submit times under participant registration. Race Joy will not be used for this edition.
The 10K course turns around at Honeymoon Island, which is a natural park. The live courses will be marked with lanterns and directional signs; participants are advised to bring a head light for bridge crossings and to consider insect repellent. The Woof Walk provides matching bandanas and tee shirts for dog and owner and requires six-foot leashes only, no retractable leashes. In unforeseen situations, entrants may switch to the virtual option or defer registration to July 3, 2026; refunds are not offered.
