Kirkintilloch Aquathlon

Kirkintilloch Aquathlon, 6 September 2026

The Kirkintilloch Aquathlon is organised by Glasgow Triathlon Club and governed by Triathlon Scotland. The event takes place at Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre, Woodhead Park, Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire. Each competitor completes a pool swim immediately followed by a run around the park in front of the leisure centre. Competitors race in heats arranged by age group.

Age groups and race distances (age as at 31 December 2026):

• TriStar Start (8 years): 50m swim, 600m run
• TriStar 1 (9 or 10): 150m swim, 1500m run
• TriStar 2 (11 or 12): 250m swim, 2000m run
• TriStar 3 (13 or 14): 400m swim, 3000m run
• Youth (15 or 16): 400m swim, 3000m run
• Adult incl Go Tri (17+): 400m swim, 3000m run

An entry includes a race memento, a post-race snack, personalised trophies for first to third in each age group, event photography with free images, and electronic chip timing. Entrants choose either the Female category or the Open category; only people who are female sex at birth may enter the Female category, while all individuals including transgender people may enter the Open category.

Entry fees vary by category from £16 to £28 and a British Triathlon Race Pass is required for non home nation members; pass costs vary by age. The entry closing date is 30 August 2026. Withdrawal before 23 August 2026 receives a 50% refund; no refund after that date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
