Event Details
The Kinzua Bridge Challenge takes place in Mount Jewett, Pennsylvania. The event features several distances:
- A 10K race
- A 5K race
- A 2 Mile Walk
- A 1 Mile Run for participants aged 14 and under
All events start at the Center Street Trailhead on the Mt. Jewett to Kinzua Bridge Rails-to-Trails. Each course is an out-and-back route.
Beneficiary
Proceeds benefit the Mount Jewett Swedish Festival Association. Funds primarily support the Penn York Oil and Gas Scholarship at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford for students in Energy Science majors. Remaining proceeds are used to promote economic development, education, innovation, and community revitalization in the Mount Jewett area.
Participant Information
Registration includes a race t-shirt for those who register by a specified date in July, online results, and a finisher medal. Packet pickup is only available on race day at a location across from the Mt. Jewett VFD station. Parking is located at the Mt. Jewett VFD station 10. Water stations are located at the turnaround points for the 5K and 10K events. Restroom facilities (portable toilets) are available at the event and festival area.
