Event overview
The Kinloss to Lossiemouth Half Marathon takes place on 15 February 2026. The event begins at Kinloss and finishes on the outskirts of Lossiemouth near the medical centre and community centre. It is a Scottish Athletics approved, chip-timed road race that follows a coastal route from Kinloss toward Lossiemouth. The race is not on closed roads.
Race details and logistics
Registration and bib collection are at Lossiemouth Sports & Community Centre, Coulardbank Rd, Lossiemouth IV31 6JU. Photo ID is required to collect a bib; there is no bib collection at the start line. A bus transports runners to the start at Kinloss Barracks. There is no bag drop at the start - belongings taken on the bus will not be returned unless carried by the runner. The community centre offers changing facilities, showers and toilets; toilets at the start are limited.
Entry options include a bespoke medal purchase at sign-up. Entry closes 12 February 2026. Prices listed are two tiers for medal and no-medal entries.
Race rules include a minimum age of 18, no buggies or pets, and headphones must be bone-conducting only; in-ear headphones will lead to disqualification. A 3 hour cut-off applies and marshals will be withdrawn to meet that cut-off. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers by gun time, with further age-category prizes thereafter.
