Event overview
The Kinloss to Lossie event is a half marathon held on 15 February 2026. The race starts in Kinloss and finishes on the outskirts of Lossiemouth near the medical centre and community centre. The course is a Scottish Athletics approved road course and is not a closed-road race. Chip timing will be used.
Entry, rules and prizes
Entries are available in two categories: with a bespoke medal or without a medal. Entry places are limited by category. Entries close 12 February 2026. Runners must be over 18 on race day. Running with buggies or pets is not permitted. Headphones must be bone-conduction types; in-ear headphones will lead to disqualification. There is a three hour cut-off and marshals will be withdrawn at cut-off points. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers on gun time, with further awards for first in each age category.
Logistics and facilities
Registration and bib collection take place at Lossiemouth Sports & Community Centre, Coulardbank Rd, Lossiemouth IV31 6JU; photo ID is required and there is no bib collection at the start line. There is no bag drop on the course; participants may leave bags at the community centre but the organiser accepts no liability. Parking is available at the leisure centre and nearby beach car parks but is limited. Basic free refreshments are provided at the finish; additional vendors will offer coffee, water and cakes.
