Event Overview
The Kinloss to Lossie Half Marathon is a Scottish Athletics approved road race. The event takes place on Sunday, 15 February 2026.
Route Information
The race begins at Kinloss Barracks and finishes on the outskirts of Lossiemouth, near a medical centre. A scenic coastal road is part of the route. The event is not a closed road race. Transport to the start line is provided via a bus from Lossiemouth to Kinloss.
Race Details
- Half Marathon – chip-timed.
A 3-hour time limit applies. Course support and marshals are withdrawn at 1 PM to accommodate this cutoff.
Registration & Logistics
Registration and bib collection occur at the Lossiemouth Sports & Community Centre on Coulardbank Road. Photo ID is required for bib collection; there is no collection at the start line.
There is no official bag drop service. Items taken on the bus to the start will not be transported back unless carried by the runner. Parking is available at the leisure centre and local beach car parks, but spaces are limited. Car sharing is recommended.
On-Site Facilities
At the start line in Kinloss, there is a hall with toilets. At the finish area, there are basic free refreshments, plus a coffee vendor and cakes available for purchase. Changing facilities, showers, and toilets are available back at the Lossiemouth community centre.
Entry Information
Entries close online on Thursday, 12 February 2026, at 9 AM. There are two entry options: one includes the purchase of a bespoke medal, and one does not. Discounted entry is available for members of Scottish Athletics.
Awards are given to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers (based on gun time), and to the first finisher in each subsequent age category. No bib transfers, deferrals, or refunds are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
