Kings County Turkey Trot
The Kings County Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning running and walking event held in downtown Hanford on Douty Street. The event uses a new start and finish area at 325 N Douty Street, located between Superior Dairy and Civic Center Park. The course runs around downtown and includes an out-and-back section on Douty Street for the 5K, while 3K walkers return to the finish line.
Distances offered include:
- 5K run/walk, chip timed
- 3K fun walk
- Kids races: 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile
Medals are awarded to the top 20 male and top 20 female 5K finishers who are registered in the chip timed 5K. A Biggest Flock Award is presented to the largest team or group, with a tie-breaker based on best dressed.
Packet pick-up is available at 311 N Douty Street (Champions Corporate Office) on the two days before the event from 9 AM to 6 PM. On the morning of the event packet pick-up opens at 6:30 AM.
