Kings County Turkey Trot
The Kings County Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, in downtown Hanford, California. The start and finish area is on Douty Street near Superior Dairy and Civic Center Park. Packet pick up is available at Champions Corporate Office, 311 N Douty Street, on November 24 and 25 and on race morning.
Event distances and formats include:
- 5K Turkey Trot Run/Walk, chip timed; medals for top 20 male and female.
- 3K Turkey Trot Walk, route returns to the shared finish area.
- Kids Races: 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile fun races.
The course goes around downtown and the 5K follows the usual route with an out and back along Douty Street. Children who run the kids races may also participate in the 3K walk or join family members in the 5K run or walk.
Awards include medals for the top 20 male and top 20 female 5K finishers registered in the chip timed 5K. A Biggest Flock Award recognizes the largest team, with best dressed used as the tie breaker. Registration fees listed are $35 for the 5K, $25 for the 3K, and $15 for the kids races.
