Event Overview

The Killer Mile is a one-mile uphill race held at Mow Cop near Stoke-on-Trent. The route runs from Scholar Green to the Mow Cop summit. It is known for its steep and continuous climb.

Course Details

The course is one mile long and gains 570 feet of elevation. The maximum gradient on the climb is 25%.

Event Features

The event uses professional chip timing. Participants receive a race number and a finisher's medal. There are position prizes for the first three places, and special cash prizes are available for anyone who breaks the existing men's or women's course records. There are marshals on the route and first responders are present.

Additional Races

The event includes separate races for different participant groups. A Junior Race is available for participants aged 5 to 12 years. A Fun Run is available for participants aged 18 and over. An Elite Race is available for affiliated and non-affiliated club runners.

Post-Race

After the race, there are refreshments available at the finish line and in the Community Church Hall, with local food stalls.
