KidSport Leduc & County Loop the Lake

About the Event
The 4th annual Loop the Lake is a community event held at Telford Park in Leduc, Alberta. The courses utilize paved trails that run alongside Telford Lake and loop near William F. Lede Park. The terrain is described as mainly flat with minimal inclines. This event supports KidSport Leduc & County, with proceeds intended to help local children access organized sports.
Participants can register for the following distances:
- 5 km Walk: A non-timed event where strollers and children's bikes are permitted.
- 5 km Run: A timed event with an individual start format.
- 10 km Run: A timed event that completes a full loop around Telford Lake.
Registered participants have access to post-race snacks and on-site entertainment provided by a DJ. Depending on the chosen distance and registration date, participants may receive a finisher medal or a t-shirt. Children under the age of five do not require separate registration. The event proceeds regardless of rain, snow, or smoke, unless the trail is deemed unsafe for participants on the morning of the race.
