Kids Need More 5K Run/Walk, Kids Fun Run and Vendor Fair takes place at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, New York. The event includes a community 5K and a separate kids fun run.

Registration is not yet open. Participants who register by August 16 will receive a race T-shirt. A personalized bib is available for participants who register three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is required on race morning and bib numbers are used for lookup; last-minute registrants within 24 hours receive their bib number by text.
Event amenities include post-race snacks (bagels), medals for all kids fun run finishers, live online and text results, free finish line photos, and vendor fair offerings. The 5K awards include top male and female overall and top three male and female finishers in age groups 14 and under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 plus.
This year the top male and top female 5K finishers each earn a $1,000 award that will be donated on their behalf to an accredited charity, an educational program, a New York State college savings program, or a community initiative supporting children’s health and well-being. Baby strollers and baby joggers are permitted on the course; dogs are not permitted. The event supports children and families coping with cancer and life-threatening illnesses.
