Kicking PancreAS™ 5K - Manitoba
Kicking PancreAS™ 5K will take place at St. Vital Park, River Road, Winnipeg on October 3, 2026. The event combines a community run with fundraising for pancreatic cancer awareness, patient support, healthcare education, and Canadian research. Craigs Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society is listed as sponsor.
The course is open for 90 minutes. Participants receive a finisher medal, running bib, and event swag. The event encourages wearing purple and glow-in-the-dark gear; costumes are welcomed. Onsite registration is not available and spots are limited.
A race kit pickup is scheduled for October 2, 2026 at Big Sky Run Co, 194 Tache Ave, Winnipeg. The youth program includes a 2.5 km option and is part of the MRA Youth Series; MRA membership is required for runners 16 and under.
Organizer-provided figures: in 2025 there were 258 participants and over CA$17,200 in donations. For 2026 the targets are 322 participants and CA$21,500 in fundraising. Current fundraising shown is CA$129.87. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
