Event Details

The K.I.A. Memorial Roadmarch is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, New York.

Event Format

Participants can march, run, walk, or crawl one of two distances:

A 5-mile roadmarch
A 10k individual challenge

The event involves carrying a rucksack (backpack) filled with non-perishable goods, with a suggested minimum donation weight of 30 lbs. Participants can choose not to carry weight and may donate items before the event.

Participation

The event is open to all, including current and retired military personnel, first responders, and civilians. No military training is required. Participation is possible as an individual or as part of a team. There is a team competition where the largest team to finish wins a trophy. For registered participants, a T-shirt is available for the first 100 registrants.

Schedule and Amenities

On the event day, registration and check-in opens at 8:00 AM, with an opening ceremony at 10:30 AM. The march itself starts at 11:00 AM. Amenities and activities include a photo booth, vendor row, live music, and food served after the event. Finishers receive a medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
