The K.I.A. Memorial Roadmarch is scheduled for August 15, 2026, at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, NY. The event includes opening and closing ceremonies, a vendor row, a photo booth, live music, food service, trophies and certificates. Registration is open. No military training is required to participate.
Format, distances and rules
Participants can take part as individuals or as members of teams. Distances offered:
- 5 miles (Roadmarch course, approximate)
- 10K (individual challenger)
Participants may march, run, walk, or crawl while carrying rucks (backpacks) filled with non-perishable goods, or choose to donate before the event. A minimum donation weight of 30 lbs is requested; weight rules apply for certain categories. Awards and items mentioned include a finish medal, a T-shirt for the first 100 registered, and a challenge medal for those who register in the challenge category. Teams may compete for the largest-team trophy called the KMR BAT Cup; the winning team receives an inscribed trophy and a smaller replica to keep.
