Event details
K.I.A. Memorial Roadmarch takes place in Orchard Park, NY at Chestnut Ridge Park on August 15, 2026. The event is open to current and retired military, first responders and civilians. Registration is open and the event offers in-person packet pick-up and weigh-ins on site. Participants receive a finish medal; a T-shirt is provided to the first 100 registered. A separate challenge medal is available for those who register for the challenge division.
Format, logistics and on-site features
Participants may march, run, walk or crawl while carrying rucksacks (backpacks) filled with non-perishable goods, or donate goods before the event instead of carrying them. The event requests a minimum donation of 30 lbs of goods. Entries can be individual or on teams. The largest finishing team wins the KMR BAT cup; the winning team receives a replica trophy to keep.

- 5 miles (approximate roadmarch)
- 10K (individual challenger distance)
On-site features include a photo booth, vendor row, live music, a display vehicle (firetruck), volunteer and vendor check-in, and food service. Medals are collected at the finish.
