About the race
The Kerzerslauf 2027 is the 49th edition of the Swiss Season Opening, held in Kanton Freiburg in the municipality of Kerzers. Established in 1979, the event traditionally takes place on the third March weekend and marks the start of the outdoor running season for many participants.
The event offers a range of race formats and distances that run through Seeländer nature, pass the Niederried reservoir and go through the village centre of Kerzers. The course for some races includes elevation changes of about +225 m and -225 m.
