The Kentucky State Police Post 15 - Columbia hosts this evening event at Green River Lake State Park. The race takes place on paved road surfaces along the banks of the lake, offering participants views of the water throughout the course. The atmosphere includes a DJ, music, and various lighting elements such as glowsticks and State Police cruisers positioned to illuminate the route.

The 5K is a chip-timed race that begins and ends at the Green River State Park Campground pavilion. Participants in the 1 Mile event for children may have the opportunity to run alongside Kentucky State Police troopers. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual 5K option is available, allowing runners to complete the distance at any location.

All proceeds from the event support the KSP Post 15 Shop with a Trooper program. This initiative assists children in the 11-county post area by providing funds for clothing and toys during the holiday season.
