Kenny Wayland Memorial 5K & 10K Run
The Kenny Wayland Memorial 5K & 10K Run is a community athletic event held in Ventnor City, New Jersey. Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 5 km running race
- 10 km running race
- 1 mile fun walk
The 5 km and 10 km running courses are out-and-back routes. Both races start at the intersection of Stratford Place and Atlantic Avenue and conclude at the finish line located at New Haven Avenue. The 1 mile fun walk takes place with both its start and finish lines located on the Boardwalk.
Registration includes a commemorative t-shirt for those who sign up in advance, though availability is limited for those registering closer to the event date. Following the completion of the races, organizers provide water, bagels, and oranges for the participants.
An awards ceremony is held at the back of the Ventnor Community Building. Trophies and medals are presented to participants across various divisions. Packet pickup and registration are available at the Ventnor Community Building on the evening prior to the event and on the morning of the races.
