Kennedy Kids Foundation 4th Annual 5K
The Kennedy Kids Foundation 4th Annual 5K is a community road race held on the campus of Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. The event includes both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. Participants receive a professionally timed experience with real-time chip tracking provided by Split Second Timing and Wildside.
Packet pickup is available early on the Saturday before the event at IRUN, and remaining race day packet pickup will be offered outside Farrell Hall in the campus mall area. Parking is available in the South Landon Lot on North Miami Avenue. Restrooms are provided onsite.
The event features a community sponsors area with family-friendly activities before and after the race. An awards presentation will recognize top overall finishers with cash prizes and will present medals for the top finishers in each age division; every finisher receives a finisher medal. Course planning includes temporary road closures on streets near the university, including sections of NE 2nd Avenue, 111th Street, 115th Street, NW 5th Avenue, and North Miami Avenue.
The Kennedy Kids Foundation directs proceeds and fundraising toward teen mental health programs, education, and efforts to increase access to care. A virtual race option is offered for participants who cannot attend in person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
