Kendal Castle Autumn Sprint Tri, 27 September 2026
Kendal Castle Autumn Sprint Tri is a sprint-distance triathlon held at Kendal Leisure Centre, Burton Road, Kendal. The course takes participants around Kendal Castle and finishes back at the leisure centre.
The event distances are:
- 400m pool swim
- 18.7km bike excluding 1400m neutral zone
- 5km off-road run
The bike leg is an out-and-back route and includes a timed out neutral zone of 1400m. The run uses a short section of the old canal route before moving onto woodland trails and grassy slopes up to the Castle ruins, then returns to the centre. The swim takes place in a pool.
Entries open 2 May 2026 and close 23 September 2026 or earlier if the event fills. Entry fees listed are Solo £50 and Relay £65. The minimum age to enter is 15 in the event year; anyone under 16 must provide written parental consent at registration on the day. Places are limited to 150. Included with entry are chip timing, free parking, a medal, and free professional photographs.
Participants must use a roadworthy bike and a recognised cycle helmet; mountain bikes and hybrids are acceptable. Participants should be medically sound and consult a GP if they have a history of illness or injury. An optional refund cover is available.
