Kendal Castle Autumn Sprint Triathlon
The Kendal Castle Autumn Sprint Triathlon takes place on 27 September 2026 at Kendal Leisure Centre, Burton Road, LA9 7HX. Renamed as the Kendal "Castle" triathlon, the route passes around Kendal Castle and finishes back at the leisure centre.
Distances:
- 400 m pool swim
- 18.7 km bike excluding 1,400 m neutral zone
- 5 km off road run
The swim is held in a pool. The bike section is an out-and-back route that includes a timed out neutral zone of 1,400 m. The run is off road, following part of the old canal, woodland trails and grassy slopes up to the castle ruins before returning to the centre.
Event entries open 2 May 2026 and close 23 September 2026 or when the event fills. Entry fees listed are Solo £50 and Relay £65. The event has a maximum of 150 places and a minimum age of 15 in the event year; anyone under 16 must provide written parental consent at registration on the day.
Included with entry are chip timing, free parking, a medal and free professional photographs. Participants must have a roadworthy bike, a recognised cycle helmet, and be medically sound. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
