Event format and distances
The Kelso events include two race options: a Sprint Triathlon and a Come+Tri. Distances are:
- Sprint Triathlon: Swim 750 m, Bike 20 km, Run 5 km.
- Come+Tri: Swim 400 m, Bike 10 km, Run 2.5 km.
The pool swims are held in Kelso Swimming Pool and will be run in waves based on submitted estimated swim times. Transition is located in the car park adjacent to the pool.
Venue, course and entry
The swim takes place in Kelso Swimming Pool, Kelso. Cycle routes go towards Ednam and Stitchel and return to the town. The running route runs from the town centre up towards the golf course along Croft Park and back. Routes pass near Floors Castle and Kelso Abbey. There is no parking at the pool centre; parking is available at Edenside School car park, Edenside Surgery car park and Kelso High School, all a short distance from the pool.
Entry is managed by Live Borders. The event status is listed as open and the entry closing date is 31 May 2026. A Service Fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for non-Home Nation members; costs listed at £2.00 (+£0.08 service charge) for participants aged 24 and under, and £8.00 (+£0.32 service charge) otherwise.
