Steps Against Melanoma - Milford
The 21st annual Steps Against Melanoma 5k is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Kensington Metropark, at the Martindale Beach Pavilion in Milford, MI. The event is presented by the friends and family group that formerly organized under Team KDB.
This grassroots run and walk raises awareness and funds for the prevention of melanoma and supports melanoma research and patient services. Over the course of the prior 20 years the organizing group reported raising more than one million dollars for research and patient services.
The event format includes a 5k run or walk. Registration is open and options noted by the organizers include joining or creating a team, registering as an individual, or making a donation. The current organizers have taken over planning from the previous core team and continue the event's focus on fundraising and awareness.
