Katz JCC POWR 5K Run and Community Awareness Walk
The event benefits the Parkinson’s Connection at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. It includes two separate activities on the same day: a timed running race and a community walk. Registration fees are stated for each activity and registration opens on July 14, 2026 and closes on April 11, 2027.
The 5K takes place on a USATF certified course that runs through a Cherry Hill neighborhood. The Community Awareness Walk follows sidewalks around the JCC campus and is described as accessible to mobility devices and open to participants of different ages and abilities.
Background information notes that the Parkinson’s Connection began in 2017 as a Movement and Motivation dance class and has since expanded to offer more than 20 weekly movement and wellness programs, plus support groups, educational resources, and social activities for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers and families. The event raises funds to support these ongoing programs and services.
