Katz JCC POWR 5K / 1 Mile Walk for Parkinson's
The Katz JCC POWR event in Cherry Hill, NJ, is scheduled for April 12, 2026 at the Katz JCC facility, 1301 Springdale Rd. The event includes a 5K run on a USATF-certified neighborhood course and a 1 mile community walk.
The run course begins on Lillian Lefkowitz Lane, follows the JCC driveway, then proceeds along Kresson Road, Cooper Run Drive, Hawthorne, Hunters Drive and Fox Hollow Drive before retracing those streets back to the JCC. County restrictions require runners to remain on the sidewalk for both passages on Kresson Road.
Packet pickup and check-in occur at the Katz JCC Social Hall, where participants stop at a check-in table and then proceed to bag pickup for shirts and bibs. Parking is limited; available areas include the Early Childhood lot, spaces parallel to Lillian Lefkowitz Drive, and the perimeter of the main parking lot.
Since 2018 the Parkinson’s Connection at the Katz JCC has offered fitness classes and support groups for people with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers, with a mix of free and paid offerings, virtual and in-person options, classes at multiple functional levels including seated and standing formats, six days per week, and a virtual library available 24/7.
