Katz JCC POWR 5K / 1 Mile Walk for Parkinson's
The event takes place on April 11, 2027, at the Katz JCC, 1301 Springdale Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ. It includes a 5K run on a USATF-certified course that passes through a local Cherry Hill neighborhood, and a separate 1 Mile walk.

Proceeds support the Parkinson’s Connection at the Katz JCC. Since 2018, the Parkinson’s Connection has provided fitness classes and support groups for people with Parkinson’s Disease and their caregivers and families. Program features listed by the organizer include free as well as paid class offerings; virtual classes over Zoom and in-person classes at the Katz JCC; classes offered seated or standing; classes available six days a week; and a virtual library available 24/7.
Staff of coaches provide daily support to program members. The event materials also note general public health information: Parkinson’s is a neurodegenerative disorder affecting more than one million Americans, with more than 90,000 new cases diagnosed in the U.S. each year, and currently no known way to prevent, cure, slow, reverse, or stop its progression.
