Katz JCC POWR 5K for Parkinson's
The 5th Annual POWR 5K Run and Community Awareness Walk is held at Katz JCC, 1301 Springdale Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ. The event benefits the Parkinson’s Connection at the Katz JCC.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Community Awareness Walk
The 5K uses a scenic USATF certified course that winds through Cherry Hill neighborhoods. The Community Awareness Walk follows sidewalks surrounding the JCC campus and is described as accessible, welcoming mobility devices and participants of all ages and abilities.
The Parkinson’s Connection began in 2017 as a Movement and Motivation dance class and has since expanded to provide more than 20 weekly movement and wellness programs, support groups, educational resources, and social connections for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers and families.
Registration opens on 7/14/2026 and closes on 4/11/2027. Registration fees are $40.00 for the 5K and $30.00 for the walk. Proceeds support the Parkinson’s Connection and help maintain and expand programs that promote strength, independence, connection, and hope.
