Kaslo Wild Ultra
Kaslo Wild Ultra is a three-day trail running event in Kaslo, British Columbia, held July 10, 11 and 12, 2026. Start/finish and race packet pickup take place at Kaslo Bay Park.
Distances and course notes:
- 10 km Lake Stage, 150 m elevation, mix of single track and wide gravel trails.
- 53 km Mountain Stage, 2400 m elevation, rugged mountain trails with rocky and rooty sections and short road segments.
- 22 km River Stage, 528 m elevation, single-track through rainforest and riverside trails.
- 85 km Full Wild, all three stages combined.
- 32 km Half Wild, Lake and River stages combined.
The Mountain Stage includes five staffed aid stations and one water station. Drop bags are transported to the Mount Buchanan aid station. Runners must check in at each aid or water station; failure to do so can result in disqualification.
Mandatory equipment for the 53 km: hydration pack or bottles (cupless event), rain jacket or emergency blanket, and phone. Recommended items include bear spray and a headlamp; these items are also suggested for the 22 km.
Additional rules: headphones are not allowed for safety. Participants accept the inherent risks of trail running and must sign a waiver before participating. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
