C26 Kansas City Triathlon
The C26 Kansas City Triathlon takes place in Kansas City, Missouri, at 11101 Raytown Rd. The event offers multiple race formats on the same day, including triathlon and duathlon options and a relay for teams of two or three. Swim start style varies by field: novice and veteran athletes use a time trial swim start while Elite athletes use a wave swim start. The bike and run portions take place on a closed, flat course described as fast. Because the event is early in the season, the swim often has a good probability of being wetsuit legal.
Event formats and distances include:
- Elite Triathlon: 1500 m swim, 40K bike, 10K run
- Olympic Triathlon: 1500 m swim, 40K bike, 10K run
- Sprint Triathlon: 500 m swim, 20K bike, 5K run
- Olympic Triathlon Relay (teams of 2 or 3): 1500 m swim, 40K bike, 10K run
- Sprint Duathlon: 2.5K run, 20K bike, 5K run
Participants must be registered individually with accurate personal information. Registration fees are non-refundable. The race director may cancel the event for weather, natural disaster, or other unforeseen circumstances that pose a significant danger to participants.
The organizer C26 Triathlon offers coaching, camps, clinics, and a training facility called The HUB, which includes a three-lane indoor pool focused on multisport training.
