Kalbarri Gorge Adventure Run
The Kalbarri Gorge Adventure Run is a trail event held on 30th May 2026 inside Kalbarri National Park. The courses follow tracks, riverbanks and narrow gullies through red rock cliffs and pools, and include ladder sections and on-course abseils.
Competitor options:
- Ultra 8 km with a 20 m abseil
- Enduro 4 km with a small abseil
- Taste 4 km with a small abseil
- Junior 4 km with a small abseil
The Ultra course descends from the park access track to the river, includes a 20 metre abseil and follows the river upstream to a turnaround before returning to the access track. The 4 km courses descend to the river by ladders and a smaller abseil, include riverbed running with a few short swims, and return via the same route.
Abseil equipment is supplied on site and harness fitting and briefings are available during race pack pickup. Participants must hold a National Parks entry pass to access the event location. Registrations are online only and close on 28th May 2026. Presentations and finishers medallions occur on Saturday 30th May at the Kalbarri Foreshore Event HQ, with podium places announced for top finishers in each category.
