Jurassic Jaunt Long Beach
The Jurassic Jaunt takes place on 09/19/2026 at Alamitos Beach, 780 E Shoreline Dr., Long Beach, CA 90803. The event offers multiple race distances along the beach path.
- 5K one lap of the 5k route
- 10K two laps of the 5k route
- 10 Miler two laps of the 5 mile route
- Half Marathon two laps of the 5 mile route plus one lap of the 5k route
The course runs along an open beach path shared with other users. Runners are asked to stay on the right side of the path while cyclists use the left side. Turns on course are marked with chalk, runner turn signs, and flags. A fully stocked water station is located on course. The finish area includes an aid station with water, a sports drink, gels, and fruit snacks. First aid kits are available at each station and crew members have received CPR training.
Logistics include early bib pick-up at Sports Basement Long Beach and on-site bib pickup at the registration tables the morning of the event. Parking in the lot is $2 per hour starting at 8am, street parking is free, and the Passport app may be used for lot payment for some distances. Personal items may be left with staff at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag. All finishers receive a race medal and overall first place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance.
