Judd's Summer Slam Triathlon
The Judd's Summer Slam Triathlon takes place on July 25, 2026 in Hays, KS at 4th and Main Street. The event is organized by the Hays Recreation Commission together with Progressive Physical Therapy and Papa Murphy’s Take n Bake Pizza of Hays.
Participants may enter as individuals or as part of a team. Distances for the main triathlon are listed below.
- 400-meter swim
- 12-mile bike
- 5 kilometer run
A separate Judd’s Kids Division is offered for athletes age 14 and under. Distances for the kids division are listed below.
- 100-meter swim
- 6-mile bike
- 1-mile run
The kids division benefits the Judd’s Journey Project, which brings awareness to Trisomy 18 and infant loss. Proceeds are directed toward providing resources and support for families affected by infant loss. All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt. Door prizes are awarded and medals are given to winners in each division. Course maps are available for the 12 mile bike and the 5 kilometer run.
