Judd's Summer Slam Triathlon - Hays, Kansas
This annual triathlon is organized by local partners and takes place in Hays at 4th and Main Street. The event offers individual and team divisions for adults and a separate kids division for ages 14 and under. Course maps are provided for the bike and run segments.
The standard triathlon distances are:
- 400 m swim, 12 mile bike, 5 km run
The kids division distances are:
- 100 m swim, 6 mile bike, 1 mile run
The kids division benefits a project that brings awareness to Trisomy 18 and infant loss. Proceeds from that division go toward providing resources and support for families who suffer the loss of an infant child. All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt. Door prizes are distributed and medals are awarded to the winners of each division.
Categories listed for the event include individual and team divisions for ages 15 and older, plus the kids individual and team divisions for ages 14 and under.
