JoyRun for Autism 5K
The JoyRun for Autism 5K is a family friendly community run and walk held at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida on August 23, 2026. The event is hosted by Joyful Journey Behavioral Services and is organized to bring families, local businesses, and community members together while raising funds for a nonprofit autism organization.
Participants follow a scenic 5K course and can receive finisher medals. The event includes awards for top runners, vendors, kids’ activities, sensory friendly spaces, an obstacle course, and other on-site activities. Dogs are welcome on the premises.
Registration opens June 1, 2026 and closes July 22, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00. A liability waiver must be signed before the race. Park visitors should note a Markham Park parking fee of $3. All proceeds from the event will be donated to a nonprofit autism organization that provides services, resources, and support to families in need.
