Joy in Action 2026
Joy in Action takes place in three communities: Steinbach on July 25, Brandon on August 8, and Selkirk on August 22. The series brings local run, walk and cycle activities together to raise funds for The Joy Smith Foundation.
Event formats include timed competitive runs with overall and age group awards, family friendly fun runs and walks that feature optional JOY Stations and creative spirit awards, and a non competitive cycle from Selkirk Park to Netley Creek. Timed events include a small additional fee to cover extra expenses.
The event incorporates a fundraising challenge. Participants and teams earn incentives and compete for prizes while appearing on fundraising leaderboards. Funds raised support prevention efforts and services related to human trafficking led by The Joy Smith Foundation.
Registration is tiered with early bird and late pricing. Youth ages 13 to 18 receive a CA$10 discount, and children 12 and under can register free alongside a registered adult.
