Jonesy's Run : Lakewood Park South, Tecumseh : June 27, 2026
Jonesy's Run is a community run and walk held at Lakewood Park South in Tecumseh on June 27, 2026. Proceeds benefit The ALS Society of Windsor-Essex County to assist people living with ALS and to support research.
The main event is a 5K held on the park's paved outer trail, completed as three full laps. Shorter youth events take place on shorter paved and gravel sections of the park. Electronic chip timing will be used and a display clock will be at the start/finish. Water stations with volunteers will be provided on course, and a follow-up bicycle will accompany the final participant. A PA system and announcer will be used for event information and results.
Registration is limited to 400 participants. The first 400 registered will receive a finishers medal and a limited edition T-shirt; race day entries may not receive the requested shirt size. For safety on the narrow trail, strollers, baby joggers and pets are not permitted. Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners and first place in each age category.
