Joint Special Operations 10K Run and 5K Walk
The event is an all-off-road trail race held at Historic Fort Bragg on tank trails and fire breaks. The course runs through dirt, mud, gravel, and sand and is USA Track and Field certified (NC-10117-PH). Registration is limited to 600 participants. The event is part of the Triangle Race Series and is sponsored by the Special Operations Communicators Association.
Distances:
- 10 km run with disposable bib-chip timing provided by Precision Race.
- 5K walk issued a bib without an electronic timing chip; the 5K is not officially timed.
Packet pickup and late registration occur before race day at two pre-race locations and on race morning at Beckwith Lodge. Pre-race pickup dates include November 12 and November 13 with specified times; day-of packet pickup and registration are available at Beckwith Lodge between 6:00 and 7:30 am. Race packets include a long-sleeve T-shirt, a DICK'S World of Sports coupon, a 2026 calendar, and other items. The DICK'S coupon is valid November 13 to November 15 with some exceptions.
The event allows off-road jogging strollers; standard sidewalk strollers are not suitable. No pets are permitted per MWR rules. Awards include overall male and female, top three in each age group, and oldest and youngest 10K finishers. All finishers receive a commemorative coin. A raffle and postrace refreshments are provided. A virtual 10K option allows entrants to submit results by the end of November 14, 2026.
