Tri the Parks - John Tanner Spring Sprint takes place on April 18, 2026 in Carrollton, GA at 354 Tanners Beach Rd. The event offers sprint-distance races and relay options: sprint triathlon, sprint duathlon, sprint aquabike, and corresponding relays. Registration has a field limit of 500 and closes on May 2 or when the field limit is reached. Entry is open to athletes ages 9 and older. T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after April 19.
Course, procedures and rules
Distances for the sprint triathlon are:
- Swim: 600 m
 - Bike: 13.8 miles
 - Run: 5 km
 
The swim is a 600 meter triangle with start and exit at the shoreline and uses a time trial start with athletes seeded by race number. Wetsuit use is allowed when water temperature is below 78 degrees. The bike is a clockwise 13.8 mile loop on paved county roads with rolling to flat terrain and marked turns. The run is a 5 km loop that includes a flat paved trail around the park lake, unpaved park road sections, and finishes across the paved road on the lake dam. Race procedures include numbered bike-rack assignment in transition, body marking, and provided swim caps that must be worn.
