John Bliven Memorial Walk/Run
The Samaritan Well, Inc. hosts the 25th annual John Bliven Memorial Walk/Run in Macomb during Heritage Days on June 27, 2026. The event is named for John Bliven, who served in the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office for 50 years and died in 1999. Proceeds support Samaritan Well, Inc., a transitional housing organization incorporated in 1998 that operates two shelters and delivers program services for families and individuals experiencing homelessness.
The event takes place at The Old Dairy, 210 South Lafayette Street, Macomb, IL 61455. It offers organized run and walk options and welcomes participants of all ages and walkers. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in each distance. Registered children 12 and under receive a free ice cream coupon for the Old Dairy to use the day of the event. Fruit, snacks, and water are provided to participants. T shirts are guaranteed for those who register by June 18, 2026.
Registration is available before the event and on site. Fee structure is listed separately for adults and children 12 and under with different rates for pre registration and on site registration.
