Event Summary
The Jog for Jude is a charity run held in memory of Jude Zayac, who passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). It is described as the area's only 5k race dedicated to raising awareness and funds for SIDS research. This is the event's twelfth year.
Event Details
The event takes place on a Saturday in April at the Dunmore Community Center in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. The address is 1414 Monroe Avenue.
Two events are offered:
- Timed 5K Run
- Fun Run/Walk
Both events have the same entry fee. Registration for both events closes on a specific date in mid-April. Participants who register by a specified date in early April receive a race t-shirt. The event takes place regardless of weather conditions.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at the Dunmore Community Center. A second pickup option is available on race day before the event starts.
Awards
Awards are given for top finishers. The overall male and female champions receive trophies and prizes. Medals are awarded to the top male and female finishers in numerous age groups, starting from 6-7 years old up to 60+.
