Joey's Wings 5K & Bubble Crane Kids Run
The 12th annual Joey's Wings 5K & Bubble Crane Kids Run takes place on November 14, 2026 at Santa Fe College (Charles R. Perry Construction Institute), Building O, NW 91st St, Gainesville, FL 32606. The event is organized by Joey's Wings Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit established in 2014 in memory of a child who died of childhood cancer. It aims to raise awareness and provide support for the 47 children and families diagnosed every day.
Proceeds will go to local pediatric cancer families. The foundation states that 100% of donations are used for research and treatment options, parent support, and advocacy.

Pre-registration fees before November 1 are listed as: 5K (ages 13+) $30, 5K (12 and under) $25, 1 mile kids $25. The fee for ages 13 and older increases by $5 after the pre-registration period. Additional options include a virtual run fee of $25 and a T-shirt only option for $20.
Race-day features include chip timing, a free shirt, a specially designed 3D origami crane medal with gator color ribbon distributed first come first serve for race day registrants, food from local restaurants, raffles, face painting, crafts, family activities, and music.
