16th Annual Joe Sazyc 5K
The 16th Annual Joe Sazyc 5K is a running race held on the Wayne State Main Campus in Midtown Detroit. Organized by the Pi Kappa Alpha Delta Nu fraternity, this annual spring event takes place at Gullen Mall. The race serves as a memorial for a fraternity member who passed away from brain cancer in 2012.
Participants follow a course of 5 km around the university campus. The event is organized in partnership with the American Brain Tumor Association, and proceeds from the race are donated to this organization to support their work regarding brain tumors.
