Ovarian Cancer Awareness Event in Denver
Jodi's Race for Awareness is an annual event held at City Park in Denver, Colorado. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Colorado Gynecologic Cancer Alliance, supporting individuals affected by gynecologic cancers. Participants can choose between different formats to support the cause, including both in-person and remote options.
The event features several participation distances and categories:
- 5K Run or Walk
- 1 Mile Run or Walk
- Virtual 5K or 1 Mile (remote participation)
Special registration categories are available for gynecologic cancer survivors, individuals aged 70 and over, and children aged 12 and under. For those who wish to support the organization without participating in the athletic events, a separate fundraising-only option is available.
A specific Survivor Breakfast is held at the City Park Pavilion on the morning of the event. This gathering is open to all gynecologic cancer survivors and their families. A group photo for survivors is also scheduled at the pavilion as part of the morning activities. The event is supported by various healthcare and local community sponsors, including the UCHealth Cancer Center and AdventHealth Porter.
