J.J. the Jet Plane Foundation 5K Color Run/Walk for Pediatric Cancer
The event takes place on 09/19/2026 at Menifee County Park in Frenchburg, Kentucky. It offers three participation options, each covering 3.1 miles: an in-person 5K Run/Walk, a 5K Color Run/Walk with washable slime and colored powder applied along the course, and a Virtual 5K Run/Walk that can be completed anywhere.
In-person registration includes a shirt. The Color Run/Walk specifically provides a white shirt to identify participants for color stations. Virtual registrants receive a race shirt that will be shipped to the provided address. Registration fees differ by option.
Awards are given to the Top 3 overall finishers and to the Top 3 finishers in each age group. Age groups are 0 to 9, 10 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Teams may be created and there is a prize for the largest team at the 5K.
All proceeds from the event are donated to UK Children’s Hospital for its Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department. The foundation reports cumulative donations to that hospital to date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
