About the race
The Jingle Bell Run, Walk & Wheel is a community event on November 8, 2026 in downtown Essex at Ken Knapp Ford, Talbot Street North. Proceeds support Community Living Essex County, which serves over 700 children, youth, and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Distances and event formats include:
- 2 km run
- 2 km walk
- 2 km wheel
- 5 km run
- 5 km walk
- 5 km wheel
- Little Elf Run for ages 6 and under
- Youth categories for some 2 km and 5 km events
All participants receive a medal; the first 400 registrants receive a long-sleeved Jingle Bell Run shirt. Jingle bells are provided while supplies last. Chip timing is provided by WRACE. The Little Elf Run is free for children 6 and under and includes a jingle bell wristband and antler headband while supplies last.
Early bird pricing applies through October 8 with adult and youth rates noted by the organizer; standard pricing applies after that date. Participants may pay the entry fee or collect a minimum amount in pledges per participant. Only working service dogs are permitted; other pets are not allowed. Participants who require assistance may bring one support person at no additional charge.
Online registration closes on November 3. In-person registration is available at Ken Knapp Ford until November 3 and on race day; race kit pick-up is scheduled for the days before the event and on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
