Jingle Bell Jog – Half Marathon and other distances
The Jingle Bell Jog takes place at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, California. The event offers multiple running distances on an out-and-back course that follows the beach path and uses looped segments for longer distances.
Distances included:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10 mile
- 13.1 mile (Half marathon)
Course and on-course support details are provided for participants. The 5K route serves as the single lap for the 5K and a double lap for the 10K; the 5 mile route is used twice for the 10 mile; the half marathon uses its route three times. The beach path is an open course shared with other users; runners are asked to stay on the right side while cyclists use the left side. Turns are marked with chalk, runner turn signs, and flags.
Aid and safety: a fully stocked water station is located at Belmont Pier and an aid station at the finish area offers water, sports drink, gels, and fruit snacks. Each station carries a first aid kit and crew members have received CPR training.
Logistics: early bib pick-up is available, and day-of bib pick-up is provided. A gear check is available at the registration tent where participants may leave personal items. All finishers receive a medal and overall first place male and female in each distance receive a first place medal. Results and race photos are distributed after the event; race photos are free.
