Jim Schoemehl Run for ALS
The Jim Schoemehl Run is an annual community event focused on raising funds for ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease. Organized and operated by high school students from the Webster Groves High School DECA chapter, the event reached its 25th anniversary in 2026. The run takes place in Saint Louis, Missouri, with the start and home base located at the Webster Groves High School near Roberts Gym.
Participants can choose between two main road race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
The event accommodates both adults and children. All proceeds generated from the run are directed toward supporting local families affected by ALS as well as The ALS Association. Beyond the physical races, the event relies on a network of volunteers and community donors to meet its fundraising goals. The course is situated around the residential area of Selma Avenue in Webster Groves. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
