Jedburgh Running Festival : event overview
Jedburgh Running Festival takes place on 25 October 2026 and features road races centred on Jedburgh town centre. Race starts are located on Abbey Place in front of Jedburgh Abbey and finishes are on the grass by the river opposite Queen Mary’s House.

The half marathon route is a mixture of rural single carriageway and open closed road. It follows Abbey Place, the town square and High Street, then heads north on the A68, east on the A698 towards Kelso with a detour past Crailing church, a loop via Eckford, and a return along the A698 and A68 to the riverside finish. There are four water stations at about 3, 6, 8 and 10 miles.
The 10K route follows the Jed valley on rural single carriageway out and returns on the closed main road. There is a 5K turnaround point; the 10K and half marathon start together and travel the same initial direction. There are two water stations at roughly 4.5 km and 5.5 km, and water and sweets at the finish.
All finishers receive a commemorative medal. Tech T-shirts are available for purchase with a last order date of 11 October. Race registration takes place in the Jed Thistle Pavilion. The A698 from Kelso will be shut for the event; after closure approach via St Boswells (A68). Car parking is available at local car parks with an overflow car park approximately 200 m from Lothian Park. Separate communal changing and shower facilities are provided, and private facilities are also available. The event is LGBT friendly and includes a Non-Binery entry category; Scottish Athletics recognises a third gender category.
Entry fees are published for each race and entries close on 21 October 2026 or earlier if limits are reached. No refunds or deferrals are available once entered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
