The JC Valentine's Half Marathon, 10K, 5K - Jersey City
The JC Valentine's Half Marathon, 10K, 5K takes place in Lincoln Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. The event is presented as an annual running event that supports the nonprofit Sustainable Jersey City.
Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon : four loops of a 3.27 mile course
- 10K : two loops of a 3.1 mile course
- 5K : one loop of a 3.1 mile course
- 1 Miler : one loop around the lake
The certified course uses paved roads, bridges, park paths, a lake area, and passes historic monuments. Water stations are placed roughly every 1.5 to 2 miles and will provide water, Gatorade, and gels. Live timing is provided with a split per loop and a live tracking app for friends and family.
Participants receive A4 technical running shirts in male and female cuts and a bib with a timing chip. Personalized bibs are available for registrations completed at least four weeks before the event. Finishers receive a die cast medal with a full-color ribbon and awards are given to top overall finishers and in age groups across the distances. Photographs and finisher video are provided on the day of the event.
Post-race food includes bagels with spreads and optional brunch at a nearby venue for an additional fee. The event policy states there are no transfers, credits, or refunds and that directors may change or cancel the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
