JC Valentine's Half Marathon, 10K, 5K - Lincoln Park, Jersey City
The event takes place in Lincoln Park Drive and West Side Drive in Jersey City and supports the nonprofit Sustainable Jersey City. It offers three distance options on certified measured loops and uses a course composed mostly of paved roads with some paths and bridges.
Distances
- 13.1 miles - four loops of a 3.27 mile course.
- 10K (6.2 miles) - two 3.1 mile loops with a clearly marked slight cut.
- 5K (3.1 miles) - one 3.1 mile loop with a clearly marked slight cut.
Multiple water stations are placed on course offering water and Gatorade; gels are also provided. Live timing is available with a split per loop and a live tracking app for friends and family. Each participant receives a technical A4 running shirt (male and female cuts) and a bib; personalized bibs require registration at least four weeks before the event. Finishers receive a die cast medal with full-color ribbon. Photographs and a finisher video are provided on event day.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers for each distance and to top three finishers in age groups by decade plus 19 and under and 70+ (Golden Runners). Post-race refreshments include bagels, spreads, and beverages. A paid brunch option at THE VIEW is offered near the finish. Registration fees are listed per distance.
