Javelina Jundred (October 31, 2026)
Javelina Jundred is an ultra running event held at McDowell Mountain Regional Park with the start and finish staged from the Four Peaks Staging Area, called Javelina Headquarters. The event offers multiple distances:
- 100 Miler
- 100K
- Jackass 31K
The 100 Mile course uses a five loop format. Loop one is 22.3 miles and includes the Shallmo, Pemberton, and Escondido Trails. Loops two through five are each 19.4 miles and include parts of the Cinch, Scenic, Pemberton, and Shallmo Trails. Loops are run one way. 100-kilometer runners complete the first three full loops of the 100 Mile course.
Trails wind through Sonoran Desert terrain with rolling single track, giant saguaro cactus, granite boulders, and dry wash beds. Surfaces include hard-packed granite, rocks, and sand. Each loop features a roughly 600 foot climb from the start area to a high point near the foothills of the McDowell Mountain range before descending back to the start finish area.
Support and site logistics include crew canopy reservations, camping and RV options, and car camping in the Competitive Lot. For 2026, crew canopies and both long and short RV spaces are sold out. Car camping permits allow contained vehicle setups only and vehicles may not move during race day.
The event also includes the Jackass Night Trail, a separate night loop run in two waves that grants access to the Jackass Junction event the same evening. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
