Jason's Adventure Bash AR - The JAB!
This event is a memorial fundraiser created with the honoree's family. Fifty percent of proceeds will go to a college fund for two children. The races are scheduled for June 13, 2026 and are hosted at Canoeing for Kids Basecamp in Lexington, SC at 114 Riverchase Ct.
Two adventure race formats are offered: a shorter, family-friendly urban adventure rally and a longer endurance format. Both use a checkpoint-based rogaine scoring system where teams collect as many checkpoints as possible within the time limit. Course activity types include navigation, urban exploration, water segments such as river tubing and Class II whitewater, single track mountain biking, and forested trekking.
Course design is intentionally scalable so teams can choose routes that match ability and comfort. Organizers provide a pre-race briefing and a safety focus, and electronic scoring with results tracking. There are solo and team divisions, multiple routing options in each discipline, and awards and medals. A post-race gathering is planned with live music, a bonfire, food, and lawn games.
