Jamestown Rotary 5K Chicken Run & 1 Mile Fun Run
The 14th annual Jamestown Rotary 5K Chicken Run and 1 Mile Fun Run takes place at the Fentress County Fairgrounds Main Gate in Jamestown, Tennessee. The event offers two distances:
- 5K (3.2 Miles)
- 1 Mile
The 5K course begins and ends at the fairgrounds main gate. From the main gate the route turns left onto Fairgrounds Road, then right onto West Cove Road, then right onto Highway 127 South, and continues south back to Fairgrounds Road across from SmartBank before returning to the main gate. Water is available at the midpoint and at the finish. Water and snacks are provided after the race.
The 1 Mile fun route starts at the fairgrounds main gate, goes to the intersection of Fairgrounds Road and West Cove Road, and returns to the main gate. Water and snacks are available at the end of the fun run.
Registration fee is listed as $20. A family discount of $5 per participant is offered for groups of four or more. T-shirts are not guaranteed after the early registration deadline. Awards are presented to overall male and female winners in the 5K and to top male and female runners in each age category; the 1 Mile fun run is not eligible for top awards.
