Jambalaya Festival 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
The 59th annual Jambalaya Festival 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is scheduled for May 23, 2026, at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center, 9039 S. St. Landry Ave., Gonzales, LA. The event takes place on the grounds of the expo center and includes an after party with music and food.

The 1 Mile Fun Run is presented with a focus on kids and non-runners. The 5K is offered as an individual run or walk and also as a three person team competition. Teams consist of three members; a team captain creates the team name and members join that team. First and second place teams are awarded based on the lowest combined time.
Entrants receive a T shirt and jambalaya at the after party; T shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after May 1, 2026. Stated registration fees are $25 for the 5K, $15 for the 1 Mile, and $30 to enter both races.
Awards for the 1 Mile Fun Run include 1st to 3rd place medals for male and female overall and in age categories 1-4, 5-10, and 11-15. 5K awards include top overall male and female and 1st to 3rd in each age group. Team awards are 1st and 2nd place medals for lowest total time.
