Jack O'Lantern Fall Classic : 29th Annual
The 29th Annual Jack O'Lantern Fall Classic takes place on October 17, 2026 on Goat Island in Niagara Falls, New York. The event is sponsored by Crown Benefits and is once again located on Goat Island following recent park improvements. Costumes are encouraged.
The event features two distances:
- 5K run
- 1.5 mile walk (one complete loop on the trolley path, 1.55 miles total)
Start and finish are located near 3 Sisters Island, with parking available in the main lot at the east end of Goat Island, close to 3 Sisters. Race day packet pickup will be at the large tent in that parking area. An early packet pickup option is available at 800 Main Street, Second Floor (Key Bank Building) on October 15 and October 16; curbside pickup is also offered.
Online registration remains open through race day. Participants who register before October 2, 2026 will receive a long sleeve race shirt; a limited number of extra shirts will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Registration fees include a 5K entry and a 1.5 mile walk entry, with an additional 5 Pack special option.
Professional electronic timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Post race food, snacks, and the awards ceremony are sponsored by Delaware North Services. Net proceeds support Northpointe Council programs for prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery for those affected by substance use disorders and other addictions.
