29th Annual Jack O'Lantern Fall Classic
The Jack O'Lantern Fall Classic returns to Niagara Falls, NY, for its 29th edition. This athletic event takes place on Goat Island, utilizing the park improvements and local paths for a scenic experience. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes on the day of the event, which features both running and walking options.
The event offers the following distances and categories:
- 5 km Run
- 1.4 mile Walk
- 1.55 mile Walk (one complete loop on the trolley path)
Both the run and the walk start and finish near 3 Sisters Island. The 5 km course is an officially certified route. Registration includes a long-sleeve race shirt for those who sign up by the designated early deadline, with a limited number of additional shirts available thereafter.
Participants in the 5 km run compete for prize money, which is awarded to the top five male and female finishers. All participants receive custom finisher medals, and age group awards are available for those placing first, second, or third in categories ranging from 10 and under to 80 and older. A post-race lunch and an awards ceremony follow the completion of the courses. Proceeds from the event support community programs provided by the Northpointe Council.
