It's Not Just Businesses We're Running Here! - Hamilton Chamber 5K
The third annual Hamilton Chamber of Commerce 5K takes place on June 20, 2026, on the Village Lawn at 3 Broad Street in Hamilton, NY. The event includes in-person and virtual options and is listed as part of the 2026 Route 20 Road Challenge Series.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 miles) timed road race
- Family Fun Run 0.40 mile loop on a short village course
- Virtual 5K 3.1 miles completed remotely
Proceeds support the Chamber Small Business Grant Program, which funds equipment and marketing upgrades and helps cover LLC formation costs, and will also benefit a Chamber-selected non-profit.
The in-person course follows village streets and Colgate University pathways. The route begins on Payne Street, climbs the section known locally as No Payne No Gain Hill, descends Spring Street, proceeds into Colgate's campus along a tree-lined path and Willow Path, and returns via Oak Drive and University Avenue to Payne Street for the finish.
Participants receive race items and services including custom race bibs, chip timing, a finisher’s medal handcrafted by Village Clay, a runner welcome bag with local items, a custom race shirt while inventory lasts, one hydration station on course, and restroom access at the Hamilton Library and the Colgate Inn. Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before at the Hamilton Public Library and on race day at the start location. All registrations must be completed online; paper or cash payments are not accepted.
