It's a Good Time to RUN on Route 66 5K
The event is the fifth annual Groom Day 5K held in Groom, Texas on August 1, 2026. The meeting area is at the softball field entrance near the train tracks in Groom. The course will follow a new route along Route 66 through the town.
The distance for the event is 5K. Walkers and runners are welcome to participate.
Proceeds are allocated so that 50% returns to the Groom Day fund to support future community events. The remaining 50% of proceeds will be distributed as prizes for first, second and third place. Registration opens on June 10, 2026 and closes on August 1, 2026. The registration fee is $40.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
