It Takes A Village 5K - Hamburg, NY
The It Takes A Village 5K is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026 in the Village of Hamburg. This is the third annual running of the 5K, an event created after the village celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2024. The event is hosted by the Evan Granville Memorial Fund and all proceeds will go to the Hamburg Central School District to support school clubs, activities, sports, and other district needs.
The event includes a certified USATF course that starts and finishes on Union Street near Union Pleasant Elementary School at 150 Pleasant Ave. Professional RFID timing and finish line services will be provided, with results available in real time via mobile app, kiosks, on-site monitor, and online results platforms. Custom finisher certificates and finish line photos will be available through the results platform.
Official It Takes A Village 5K T-shirts will be guaranteed to registrants who register by Friday, May 15 at 9pm; a limited number of extra shirts will be available later. Registration fees are listed by age: 12 and under $15 ($20 after 5/27/26) and 13 and older $35 ($40 after 5/27/26). The Bulldog Run Club will use this race as its season ending 5K.
Awards include trophies for the overall male and female winners and medals for age groups: 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and up. Post race awards will be presented at a tent at Union Pleasant Elementary. There is plentiful free parking throughout the village including the municipal lot and the school parking lot on Hawkins Ave.
