ISLANDMAN TRIATHLON : Avalon, NJ
The Islandman Triathlon is a single-day triathlon held in Avalon, New Jersey on June 27, 2026. The event is organized by Tim Kerr Charities, a registered 501(c)(3), and race proceeds and donations go to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The organizer marks this edition as the 20th anniversary.
The course consists of three sequential segments:
- 1/4 mile ocean swim
- 12 mile bike ride on closed streets through Avalon
- 5K beach run
Swim starts are organized in multiple waves grouped by gender and age. Packet pickup is available at Avalon Community Hall, 3001 Avalon Avenue, on the day before the race and on race day. Registration opens and closes on March 1, 2026, with a registration fee of $120.00.
Participants receive event gear and race items supplied by the organizer. These include an athlete bag, a custom swim cap, printed event T shirts, branded socks, a custom event water bottle, and a finisher towel. Apparel awards are given to Top 5 overall, Masters, Grand Masters, and the top three finishers in each age group.
