Island Triathlon Festival : Stockton, NSW
The Island Triathlon Festival is staged over two days at Griffiths Park, Stockton NSW. The 2026 event takes place on Saturday 26 September and Sunday 27 September. This is the second staging in 2026 and from 2027 the event will be held on the fourth weekend in September each year.
The weekend combines foreshore running events with triathlon and aquathlon races. The running program returns as the Haze Stockton Sunrise Run and uses a 7.04 kilometre loop that includes the Stockton breakwall. Triathlon and aquathlon races use separate swim, cycle and run loops, with multiple lap formats for standard and sprint distances. Race kit collection is available on the days before and on race morning near the transition area.
Entry categories and age minimums vary by event. Entry fees include a finisher medal, race bib, live chip timing, certified traffic controllers, an on site professional paramedical team, and a donation from entries to local surf sport and service clubs. A discounted event shirt is available for early entries by 13 January 2026. The event is professionally staged and sanctioned and offers limited insurance cover through Triathlon Australia.
Access to Stockton is across the harbour. There is one road in and out via Fullerton Street; local parking and a ferry service serve the event. Course maps and detailed loop descriptions are provided for swim, cycle and run courses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
